in St. Lucia, West Indies

at the Sandals Golf Resort and Spa

Sandals refers to itself as a world-famous, couples only resort

that boasts perfection, romance, 5 star cuisine, and that "Love is all you need"

As you can understand there is a lot to tell about our experience with Sandal's. I update these pages frequently.  We have everything well documented and will add it to this site as time allows.  Please check back often.

Why Sandals?

We chose Sandals St. Lucia as our Weddingmoon destination, a small relatively unknown island in the West Indies island chain in the southeast Caribbean.  St. Lucia is between Barbados and Antigua, near Grenada, a few islands up the chain off the north coast of Venezuela. We decided on Sandals St. Lucia after seeing its perfection and breathtaking beauty in the Sandals brochure.

St. Lucia has two Sandals resorts, the other is Sandals Halcyon. St. Lucia is a 22 mile long volcanic island with two stunningly beautiful mountain peaks called the Pitons. The island itself is very mountainous and it is quite difficult to find a level section of land. There is far more climbing to do than the two Pitons !

We were attracted by the "personal" plunge pools offered in some of the suites.  We studied numerous websites, magazines, brochures, and other material before finally deciding on Sandals. To make things even more attractive, they offer what they call a free Weddingmoon that includes most of the basics such as bouquet, boutonnière, cake, champagne reception, a 5x7 photograph among numerous other things. Of course, at an additional cost they also provide Professional Photography, a Professionally edited Video, Make-up and Hairstyling, Spa services, etc.

These pages hold the story of our experiences, both good and bad.  For the record, we are not fussy travelers.  We are equally comfortable camping in the wilderness as we are staying in world-class accommodations. We  love to meet people and visit the "back roads"  to get a real feel for our destinations.  We will shop the fine stores and the tiny little street corner vendor.  We enjoy dining at the finest restaurants and the local "greasy spoon."  Our only expectation is that we get what is promised and what we have paid for.
